Please cosponsor S. 1535, America's Red Rock Wilderness Act

Dear [Decision Maker],

As a constituent, I'm writing to ask you to become a cosponsor of America's Red Rock Wilderness Act (S. 1535), the seminal legislation that would protect 8.4 million acres of wild public lands in Utah. These are some of the largest unprotected wild landscapes in the lower 48 states -- places with evocative names like Labyrinth Canyon, the Dirty Devil, and the Book Cliffs. They are valuable not only for their extraordinary scenic beauty, but also for their ecological health, climate resiliency, and cultural importance.

America's Red Rock Wilderness Act also advances efforts to combat climate change by keeping fossil fuels in the ground, achieving 5.7 percent of the carbon mitigation needed to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees by 2030. And its passage would move us closer to the goal of protecting 30% of US land by 2030, preserving 1.5% of the land needed to reach that goal while conserving key wildlife corridors critical to healthy ecosystems throughout the Intermountain West.

Please become an original cosponsor of this important legislation today!

Sincerely,
