Utah Legislature to Debate Anti-Wilderness Resolution
Utah Legislature to Debate Anti-Wilderness Resolution
On Thursday, February 14th (Valentines Day) at 11:00 am, the Utah State House of Representatives will debate HJR 10 “Joint Resolution Opposing Designation of Public Lands Currently Urged by Congress and the Bureau of Land Management.” This resolution is in opposition to America’s Red Rock Wilderness Act -- a citizens proposal for Wilderness which would protect over 9 million acres of Utah’s wild lands
Let's send our elected officials a hopefull, heart-felt message -- and let them know that Utahns care about protecting our wild lands for future generations. Here's what you can do:
Join us on February 14th from 10:30 - 12:00 in the Rotunda of the State Capitol Building in SLC as we pass out Valentines Day Cards to our elected officials, asking them to "Have a heart & protect Utah's Wild Lands." Click here to tell us you'll be there!
Write to your elected officials and ask them to oppose HJR 010, and instead work to find solutions which protect our wild lands, while allowing for sensible resource development. Click here to contact your elected officials.
